The
essence of this teaching is to kill the spirit of disloyalty or rebellion in
our lives, so that we understand that loyalty is more of a spiritual thing than
as physical as we have made it.
Praise God!
I am going to be
examining eight stages of disloyalty. Disloyalty does not start in a day, it
happens in process, disloyalty is not a day’s journey it is a process; you
can’t just wake up and become disloyal entirely, it will be coming into you
gradually, you keep developing it from one stage to another and we’re going to
be considering the eight stages.
The essence of
this teaching is for you to watch your life and watch your environment, be
vigilant about the people around you: your employees, colleagues, bosses, watch
your children, watch the church folks.
So we’re going
to examine the eight of it, the first is all is called
1.
INDEPENDENT
SPIRIT: one of the first sign of disloyalty is
Independent spirit, once a man begins to develop independent spirit, in the
mist of his colleagues, in the mist of the church, in the midst of an
organization, disloyalty is creeping into the life of the person or rebellion
is setting into the life of the person. When a man comes into an environment,
and wants to be autonomous.
If
you remember, during this democracy, from 1999 up until now, one of the things
that were popular is that many states and villages started splitting into two,
into three, and they began to have autonomous village, they began to have two
kings in one village. A set of people want to be autonomous, the others want to
be autonomous, let me say this it is a sign of disloyalty, and a sign of
rebellion. they felt the king has so much power to himself, what stops ‘me’
from being a king in our own side, then they go to the government in power, who
says to them to carve out themselves, then a territory will be given to them,
and then become an autonomous village which will bare a different name, by
having a king in that side. Being a king you start parading, government will
give you a car, and you have a special plate number, and then you’re working in
autonomy; let me tell you it is a sign of rebellion.
So,
independent spirit is one of the spirit that you must check out in your
workers, in your family and in the church.
In
the church it is seen in many formats; a pastor can declare from the pulpit one
thing and the members with independent spirit will do another. When such a
thought or motive comes to your mind, as Minuit or as casual as it may think it
is, it is rebellion that is setting in. Independent spirit is the spirit that
tells you to do things the way you want to do it and not the way they tell you
to do it. Pastor says’ fast from six to six, independent sprit says fast from
six to twelve- for it’s not pastor’s business, it’s between you and God’
God has orchestrated leadership to give you
guidelines and direction in life, so once you come under any leadership, your
opinion doesn’t really matter, especially when it’s spiritual leadership.
So
what you respect in leadership is not the age of the person occupying it, but
the age of the position.
Pastoral position is older than your great
grandfather, and that is what am occupying, I was not appointed by age, I came
in to sit- let me set a pictorial example with our present nation Nigeria which
got her independence in 1960; now 1960 independent was bought, now in the next
fifty years, we’ll be around a hundred and few years independent, and then
suddenly a young man gets into the office at the age of thirty, as the
president of Nigeria, and then the senators who are seventy, sixty begins to
rebel against the thirty years old man, and they say ‘ why should this small
boy…?’ let me tell you , you’re not rebelling against the thirty year old man,
but against 1960. The office started existing from 1960, so in one thousand
years to come if Jesus tarries; there will be consistently presidents after
presidents, so whoever that is rebelling against the president based on his age
is rebelling against the sit he is sitting on that is ageless.
So whenever a man appears to be your boss in
the office, please in order to avoid being a rebellious person, stop looking at
the man’s age, stop looking at the man’s qualification, stop looking at the way
he speaks, stop looking at the way he looks, he might be ugly, he might be a
chimpanzee from the zoo, but if he is above you, he is above you so! Obey him!
This
is what is killing us in the Christendom especially, because if there is any
place in the world where we don’t have respect for authority, it is in the
Christendom. In church, that is where people come to read their profiles;
Church should not be about that, the fact should be and must be if you are
placed under an authority, no matter who the person is , you must obey.
Leadership
is not about the individual, the leadership is about the office the individual
is occupying; so when you see someone in your mist, who is beginning to
manifest an independent spirit, by wanting to do a thing the way he wants to do
it, that person is exhibiting the spirit of rebellion and the person should be
watched out for.
2Sam 3vs 20-21, 26-27
we’ll
read that as a basis for this teaching-
….. now
this man called Abner, happens to be one of the generals in the army of Israel,
but he was in charge of a particular camp and David was the king, and then we
have another general in the army who was on the side of David, by the named
Johab; these two generals had no problems amongst them, but David had problems
with Abner, David had issues with Abner,. David as the king decided to go and
make up with Abner, and he called Abner for a feast and two of them stayed
together, ate together, enjoyed their lives and Abner said to David, I am going
to gather all the people of Israel and tell them that we have made peace and
that all of them should submit to you and you will rule over the affairs of the
Israelites. And David was happy, then he said okay, and they bid themselves
good-bye; but as he was going, a general in David’s army ran after him, called
him (Abner) back, then said, there is something I want to tell you. The man
came innocently. Joab took him by the side and killed him immediately, because
the man had quarrel with the king; even though the man (Abner) had made up with
the king.
This is
a Joab that had an independent spirit- that decided ‘even though my master had
made peace, I’ll not make peace’.
Independent
spirit!
So he
went to kill the man that the master forgave. This is how you take note of an
independent spirit, when the master says one, independent spirit is saying another.
So check it out inside you, when pastor say do this, independent spirit suggest
another, and start rebelling against authority.
When a
person wants or does things in the way he or she wants outside the way the
leadership wants it, the person is manifesting independent spirit. Joab, who
happens to be king David’s right hand man, killed king David’s enemy that he
had made up with, without consulting the master, he did not even ask the master
for permission, but went ahead to kill him, if you want to read up more about
this story , you can in
2Sam18vs12-14,
2Sam 12vs27-28, 1Kg1vs5-7.
In the
reign of David, a man named Adonijah, got up one day and decided that he was
also fit to be a king, and immediately he desired it, he went to Joab. The
right hand man of the king, and told him what he want to do and Joab, without
consulting his master, gave him assistance.
Independent
spirit!
2.
OFFENCE:
Math24vs 10
This is the second stage of disloyalty. What
is Offence? It is when a person suddenly begins to feel offended by the
leadership, the person is manifesting rebellion. When the thing the leadership
is doing , somehow you’re no longer please with it, you’re take offence Jesus said in
Math 24vs 10,
And in
Mathew 24 vs. 1 to the end is where Jesus predicted the second coming and
the end of the world; His second coming and the closure of the entire globe.
That is where he said this, that in the last days, many will start getting
offended, there are some people here that are not in good terms with their
parents. You’re offended in your mother, you’re offended in your father, you’re
offended in your uncle, with everybody around you… what is your problem?
So when
a man begins to manifest this in him, check yourself. If you see the man around
you as a subordinate, be very careful; every small thing you do the person is
offended. Rebellious spirit. That is the
spirit of offence. Everything you do the person takes offence. Watch out for
the people that manifest this kind of things.
As a
leader, always look out for the member, or workers who are always offended with
everything that you do.
Absalom
was offended by the half-brother, Absalom was offended by the half brother who
raped his sister and he was also offended with the father David, who did not do
anything to the guy, because at the time this thing happened, the law says that
if you commit incest, you should be cast out of the congregation and be stoned
to death. But David whose son slept with the sister was angry but didn’t do
anything; and then Absalom, whose sister was raped by the half brother, was
offended by the half brother, offended by the father who did nothing, and he
(Absalom) kept quiet.
Two years after Absalom, killed the half
brother.
Be careful
with people that take offence easily, that keeps pilling it up, even though
they do not say a word, the day they will target you, you will be disappointed;
haven’t you seen a friend that you thought was your friend and then suddenly
something happens and you expected him to help you but the guy just lashed you
and reminded you of something you did way back? Have you witnessed a thing like
that? Watch out for men around you, for women like that around you, who takes
offence in everything you do and in everything you say, they are dangerous and
they should be detected.
3. THE STAGE OF BEING PASSIVE
This is
the third stage of disloyalty. What do I mean by that? This things move from
one stage to another, it’s in process. In
here when the person starts feeling
offended with you or with the leadership, sometimes depending on the
individual, what the person will do is that the person will start keeping
quite(passive).
In 2Sam, 13vs 22, Absalom manifested it.
Be
careful of people when you call for a staff meeting they gather together and
everybody is contributing but they are not saying a word.
Be very
careful!
I am
not saying all of it is rebellion, but I’m saying watch the person very well,
for it could be rebellion manifestation.
Absalom
kept quiet, am sure his guys were coming around him, trying to jeer him on to
do something, even his father called
him, ‘Absalom this thing that happened to your sister, by your half brother,
it’s so unfortunate but you can’t kill him, you know… , but Absalom kept them
all quite; first year passed, the brother thought he had forgotten, second
year, he threw a party and invited the half brother who thought everything was
forgotten. And Absalom assigned a particular servant to be filling him with
liquor, immediately the guy was drunk, he cornered him and killed him.
Passivity!
People,
who are usually like that, be careful with them, especially when they used to
talk and suddenly stop talking. The married people will understand expressly
that when a women or man keeps mute suddenly, there is danger.
Praise God!
When a
woman, in the morning is extremely happy in the morning before the man leaves
for work; and only for him to come back
and meet a strong angry face… no, no, you have to understand that something had
gone wrong…!
When you have subordinates that are around
you, that are lively, suddenly one of them tends to be quite, its either
something is troubling him or rebellion has entered him, he has picked offence
and he is beginning to manifest it first by keeping quite. That is how they
manifest, first by quietness, just like Absalom. They will just be quite and be
watching you.
Praise God!
4. THE STAGE OF CRITICISIM
This is
the fourth stage. Once rebellion passes the level of passivity, or level of
passiveness, it gets into the level of criticism, where your subordinates,
members begin to criticize you and you’re amazed, wondering why they are
criticizing you. Where your members come to church with biro, with note books
and you’re teaching believing that
your people are beginning to believe in
what you’re teaching, not knowing that
they’re trying to mark you on that day. Checking out your tenses, checking out
your mistakes, the grammatical errors, you look at them you think they are
writing down the revelation coming out- no! they are just writing down the
mistakes you’ve made, that by the time you’re done, they look at it and
evaluate on the message and how, pastor spoke wrong English, for
twenty-five times! .
That is rebellion. Pure rebellion!
What am
I trying to say here? Am not saying it to you because you’re in the pew, am
saying it to the pew and the pulpit, because at a point in my life also even as
I am today I have men above me. So I am speaking to myself.
It
manifests in us once in a while, so the essence of the message is to help you
check it when it comes, because rebellion can destroy you.
A
disloyal person moves from being passive to being critical, at the point all he
does is to find fault with the leadership. In the realm of the spirit, it is
assumed that followers are blind. If you want to follow well, when you’re
following a spiritual leader, you must be blind.
When I
taught on the ‘Ladder Holders’, I told you that leaders are on top of ladders,
members are the ones holding the ladder and the possibilities of seeing the
nakedness of the one on top is there, but if you see, be careful what you say.
In
drunkenness of Noah, his son stumbled into his nakedness and was punished for
it. A man that God saved, gave
victory, didn’t destroy his family, the first thanksgiving Noah did was to be
drunk. In the thanksgiving he got drunk, and was down sleeping with his legs
scattered. In that state his son came in, and mocked him; but what the son
didn’t know was that he shouldn’t criticize spiritual leadership.
What
you don’t know keep shut!
His two
other sons walked into their fathers hut with their backs to cover his
nakedness, the amazing thing is that the bible said that the father woke up and
knew what the other brother did.
How did
he know?
It was God setting up the fool (son). So
sometimes God will allow you to see
the nakedness of the leader who is on the ladder to watch what you’ll do. To
see if you will expose him. What you don’t understand is that you’ve deprive
yourself the opportunity of climbing the ladder in your life. And if per
venture you climb the ladder, all the people holding the ladder will criticize
you once, because you can’t sow and reap what you sow, you will reap a hundred
fold. So be careful!
Num 12vs 1, 2Sam15vs3, still on Absalom, in Numbers 12…. Miriam was the elder sister
to Moses; Aaron was the elder brother to Moses. They have a prophetic lineage,
Miriam was a prophetess, Aaron was a priest; but you know what happened, if God bypasses your elder brothers and
anoint you, they will have no choice but to serve you.
I don’t
understand why Christians or in the Christendom why we must always ascribe
respect with age. The God we’re
dealing with does not have respect with age, he is ageless. That’s why he
doesn’t anoint people based on age, so when he leaves a set in your family and
anoints the younger one, or better still if God decides to anoint my first daughter who is still five years
old, I’ll have no choice but to follow.
It is
very hard in the Christendom for us to see respect and loyalty, we see it more
with the people we call ‘unbelievers.’
Rebellion!
In 2Sam15vs3, Absalom did something very
amazing, we’re in the critical stage, after the third stage which is
passiveness we enter into the critical stage. Absalom went to the gate of the
entrance of the palace and sat therein, people coming to report to his father
of their issues, he will stop them, and act as king to them, by running his
father down. He sat at the gate of the father, and say to the people that the
king is not ready to hear them.
Take
away your pride and submit to the Lord.
Most of
us have not had an encounter with this king, which is why where we’re placed we
look at the head of the man with disdain. If we know who we are serving,
whoever he presents before us, we will serve him.
A king
ruled over Israel from the age of eight, (King Hosiah) the whole Israel
listened to him; but in our time of Christianity, the leader will be talking,
people will be analyzing, why? They don’t know what they are doing. That is the
highest form of rebellion, disloyalty not just to man, but to God Himself.
Critical
stage when a person rises to criticize everything that the leadership does; if
you have them in the office , they are criticizing the manager, they are
criticizing the marketing manager, sales manager, etc, everybody around them is
not doing it right, they are the only one that is seeing what is not done
right.
5. THE STATE OF POLITICAL STAGE.
This is
a stage where the person begins to liaise or lure people into seeing his own
view. That’s where the person makes others to believe that he has discovered a
serious problem in the church. Absalom sat at the gate of the king’s house and
was telling people that ‘I have discovered that my father doesn’t have time for
you people, so talk to me’.
Political
stage!
In
church, it’s like that. Political stage. After criticism, they will now start
forming alliance against the leadership. I am not just talking about church; I
am talking about life in general.
Anywhere
you are, no matter the office, please submit to the leadership of the office.
Submit.
Praise God!
HOW TO RECOGNISE THEM WHEN THEY ARE IN POLITICAL STAGE:
They
ask such questions as:
a. How did you see today’s service? And
they will go ahead by elaborating how they felt it was dry. - their motive is
for you to see what you’ve never seen and suddenly the picture they want comes
to your mind’s eye; as such you suddenly agree with them, and once you admit by
agreeing with them, they mark you as supporter, and so they keep coming back to
you for such discussions.
Political
stage!
The
second question they will approach you with is:
b. Do you think pastor is as anointed as he
used to be? He
frames it as if he is praising the pastor, but in his craftiness he is running
down the pastor.
The
third question goes like this:
c.
Have
you notice that a lot of people are beginning to leave the church?
Political
stage!
It not
only occurs like this in church but also in the secular world such as: they
tend to sell their opinions to the listening colleagues, ‘madam do you know
that people don’t come to our office again? Our product is beginning to stay
longer than before. You know before we bring this things and we sell it
quickly, but now it takes a little while…’ they refused to understand , or
reason why the products do not sell faster than it normally does, properly due
to a problem in the country, and the particular set of people that buy the
products have issues in their area. This people come as if they are
sympathizing with the organization, or with the church; but the aim is to run
down the leadership.
The
last but not the list they say:
d. In fact the why things are going, I
think pastor travels a lot this days; the manager I don’t understand him, he
travels a lot this days, any way I just hope it’s not church money , or the
organization’s money that he is using.
Political
stage!
And the
listener suddenly agrees with him. The truth is that we have few people that
have independent reasoning. We are programmed to reason along.
Hallelujah!
So most
times also when they’ve finished politicizing and gathering their own members,
they’ll formulate a particular venue for their meeting point. They coin an
attitude of care ‘let’s meet in my house, it’s time
we start talking to God about what is happening in church’ they
will gather together and pray for less than an hour and discuss for more than
two hours.
Hallelujah!
God is in heaven and He is seeing all
this. Let me say this to you
‘a pastor and a
friend of mine, something happened in his ministry, he had an assistant pastor
who was running him down and he did not know. He trusted the young man, met him
within the first year of the ministry, and made him an assistant which was not
normal. He trusted him so much and made him an assistant and leaves the pulpit
and everything and the man (assistant) was running him down and he didn’t know.
The man (assistant) was having extra meeting in his house for one year; but the
pastor never knew, even with his own team. The pastor trusted him so much that
he didn’t check anything about him, as we speak today, by the time the church
was about two years plus going to three years the guy(assistant) left with all
the people he had being gathering and started his own ministry, the shock made
the pastor sick and the pastor had stroke. As we speak today, we met last time
and I saw him walking in a deformed way, a man in his early forty’s’ because an assistant pastor, a ladder holder, one who
is called to help him stabbed in the back; and
do you think in future what the
assistant is building will stand? Certainly not! He is making a ‘mountain out
of a mole hill ‘for it will collapse. Let me tell you, you cannot climb higher
in life, by running anybody down. Don’t run your leadership down, if your
manager is stupid, be praying until God gives
you the privilege to be a manager.
You
know, most times, our mothers to our female sisters don’t make sense. I saw a
friend on B.B carrying a baby, and I asked if she had delivered, she said yes,
I then asked how to tell me the level of respect she has for her mother now.
She explained to me that from the day she took in to the day she delivered her
respect for her mother kept increased. there are things you’re criticizing
about your mother, but let me tell you for the fact that you’ve never being a
mother you can never know what she sees, you have never being in that position
before, wait until you get there before you assume to be in the vintage point
to be able to criticize . For when a woman enters the labour room, the heat of
the room makes you to appreciate the effort of your mother. You can easily
criticize the pastor because you do not know what it takes to be in his
position. You refuse to appreciate your father because you feel he denies you
each time you ask for something, as such you tend to weigh his love with that
of your friend’s father who tends to always give his son everything when he
asked for it, you refused to know or understand what your friends father does
for a living and instead you feel insult your own father for that reason. But
you forget that ten to fifteen years later you will become a father as well, by
then you will understand.
We have
to kill rebellion in our family, we have to kill it in our organization, and we
have to kill it in the church.
Rebellion!
6. THE STAGE OF DECEPTION
This is
the sixth stage
John chapter 14vs13, John 13vs 16.
One
thing you must understand about rebellion is that rebellion is a deceit.
Disloyalty is a deceit. There is a particular spirit in charge of deceiving
people and making them to be disloyal. So it is a deceit. May you not fall a
victim to that spirit.
In the
book of Mark, He said greater work shall you do. And Jesus was speaking and addressing the disciple, He was telling them
while He was with them, that you will do greater work than I had done and let
me tell you most of us have done greater work than Jesus has done, in fact in some areas of my life I have done
greater works, you know why? Jesus
never drove a car, Jesus never travelled far, and in fact statistics said that Jesus never travelled more than two
hundred kilometers for the gospel; so He travelled between where he was born to
the other side. I have travelled outside Nigeria to preach the gospel, ‘greater works’ Jesus never lived in a room, and for any where he sees he lays his
head, but He said something
‘ greater works
shall ye do, but a servant is not greater’.
So in
the midst of ‘greater work’,
remember that you’re sent. I am standing
like the Jesus now, preaching the gospel to you, you and some people are getting
results, getting revived, favour, some people are getting healed. Greater works
shall you do, but remember that your blessing came from pulpit; so don’t be too
blessed that you begin to neglect the pulpit, by that I mean you begin to look
down on the pulpit. Greater works shall you do!
In Mathew, Mark, Luke and John; He said the
same thing , he said
“ do this in remembrance of me”,
When He
was teaching about Holy Communion, it wasn’t just about Holy Communion He was
talking about, for everything you do, do having me in mind. So when you begin
to act without having your leadership in mind, you’re rebelling, you’re a
rebellious child.
Jesus had to sacrifice to be poor that
you might be rich, He had to die that you might live, so don’t neglect the
leadership, there are some certain aspect of the leadership that is giving you
the privilege of what you’re enjoying, so let it not get into your head.
Deception
is what gets into your head. Ezekiel 28vs 14, says it very clearly, do try
to understand what the passage says; you see devil had deception, because for
every time he appears, music appears orchestral appears, complete sound
appears, something started telling him ‘are you sure that you’re not better
than this man?’ and God said ‘I know
who you are, why? I made you so’. The man who made you can un-make you.
One man in this country came
out, and at the verge of winning the presidency said ‘I can do without the
Ibo’s’ and a few Ibo men, I remember one of them, Senator Arthur Nzeribe, said
to the man at the time “let us see how you will do without the Ibos, we’re not
interested in the sit of power but the Ibo’s will remain in the corridor of
power, when you’re entering into power you’ll see them , when you’re coming out
you’ll see them; let’s see how it goes’. That was the end of his presidential
ambition,
Because something entered him, (deception),
and he began to fill ‘I have conquered’ and he never conquered.
It
entered in them, it enters members, it enters followers and they begin to think
‘when I preach people begin to respond
more than when pastor preaches’ now you begin to think deception that ‘you
are, you are’. You’re no body!
And the
bible says, one day he came and did what he did, God had to tell Michael, ‘let us do away with him and see if heaven
will stop existing’. You know some of you think without you church will
stop existing, and you didn’t remember that you’ve not always been there; it
didn’t occur to you that you’ve not always been there. You just got employed in
Shell and you’re doing fine, you just got employed in a bank you put in one
point something billion in three months, and you think it’s because of that one
point something billion that the bank has been existing on; before you came the
bank has been existing, your father worked in the same bank and then you pulled
a big money and you’re thinking managers will come and bow. That’s stupidity.
Rebellion.
Praise God!
The
seventh stage, before we get to the last stage is called:
7. OPEN REBELLION:
This is
the stage where the person comes openly to fight against the authority.
Revelation 12vs 7, 2 Sam
16vs 11, 2Sm 16vs22, Mathew 26vs47&48.
When a
man gets to the last stage which is the seventh stage, the other stage is the
stage of treatment. And when a man gets to this stage, its open rebellion. That
guy who was offended and suddenly started criticizing pastor and suddenly
starts politicizing with the members, starts fraternizing against the
leadership and then the next stage is that they will gang up to come openly.
A pastor friend of my in Enugu state was having challenges with the
wife and of course this is the church where the wife is in charge of the
‘rebellious team’ and then while the pastor is busy preaching to the church,
the wife is busy making disciples of all men. And then the people the wife was
disciplining began to leave the church. One day the pastor had issues with the
wife in the house, the wife was raising her voice, abnormally and the man was
so crazy about that, and asked her what was wrong ; the wife picked up her
phone and dialed a number, the man did
not know the person she was calling. Few minutes later, all the rebellious
people that left the church, elders and deacons, they were the ones that came
to the house that night saying “pastor enough is enough, enough is
enough…’Accusing him of different things before you knew what was happening
they started beating pastor- open confrontation.
The
rebellion has gotten to its peak, where you now talk; a member shuts down the
pastor. Open rebellion! The manager is talking, suddenly you become the ‘voice
of the people’ that’s a rebellious spirit. If you’re the voice of the people in
your office, you have a rebellious spirit. No man is created to be the voice of
the people.
Open
confrontation, that’s the peak of rebellion.
When a
child gets up to speak to the face of the father. May God deliver the earth from rebellion, our families from rebellion,
and our offices from rebellion.
Rebellion
is the reason why we have plurifirating of everything on earth, it’s not just
church. The way church is plurifirating, clubs is plurifirating. Why? Because
the guy was working in a club somewhere and suddenly the boss got him angry and
he calls one commissioner and ask if he has money to invest in club, that one
responds positively, because he knows the advantage of it, because if he owns a
club he can go out at night and his wife cannot question him, for he will give
excuse that he owns a night club. That’s why he invests in club.
Praise God!
You’ll still see another person who is working
for someone in one fast food joint, simply because he gets praises for his
excellent cooking, he then gets enticed by someone who goes behind to offer him
a chance to own his own, he quickly accepts and leaves the company he works
for. Let me tell you, there is hardly any business on earth that comes with a
fresh idea all of them are duplicated industries called ‘rebellion’.
Rebellious
spirit!
May God deliver us from it in the name of Jesus Christ.
Open
confrontation, the devil confronted God
when he said I’ll arise, I’ll ascend, the hall mark of rebellion is the
language of ‘I’ when you use one I then
you use ‘we’ then you’re a rebellious entity.
In 2Sam 16vs11,
if you read it very well, from one to the end , you’ll notice that Absalom
fought against the father, 2Sam 16vs22 Absalom went into the father’s bed
and slept with his father’s wives in the land of Israel; the father was cold.
Absalom said; let him enjoy what his father has been enjoying. He took his
father’s wife, and was raping them one after the other and Israel was watching.
Rebellion
will make you desirer what belongs to another. Wrong spirit, killer spirit.
Math 26vs47-48,
Judas
had a rebellious spirit, he was stylishly doing it. He argued when the
alabaster was broken, and attempted to suggest they should have sold the oil
and given to the poor. But when his time came his rebellion came to the peak
that he had to walk straight to Jesus
and told the soldiers that the one that I will kiss -. Open rebellion!
And
when he came to Christ, Christ said ‘have
you come?’ at that point a reasonable person would have shown
remorse of his actions but instead he just kissed Jesus and walked away.
Open
confrontation!
Immediately
he kissed him, Jesus relaxed, because let me tell you, death is not the end;
death is just a gate way to eternity. Jesus
knew that what he was doing would bring about promotion not demotion. You see
the leaders you’re fighting in your offices, the further you‘re fighting them,
you’re just helping them to rise. Every man you fight , you help to rise and
everything you get on the plat form of rebellion that is called promotion will
not be sustained
The
last stage is the stage that belongs to the leadership it is called
8. THE STAGE OF EXECUTION:
1SAM 15VS23, EX 22V18,
Rev12vs 192Sam 18vs15, 2Sam 23v3, 1Kgs2vs25, Math 27vs28.
Now for
every time you notice rebellion in any man kill it. Whenever you sense
rebellion amongst your subordinate kill it, if you allow it grow, you will not
handle it well when it gets to that fruit it wants to get. Whenever you sense
rebellion, kill it. Niche it on the bud, don’t waste time, it’s a wrong spirit.
The bible says that rebellion is regarded as witch craft-
1Sam15vs23, Ex22vs16,
when you see rebellion kill it, because it’s a
witch, you know some of us are busy binding a normal bird that is praising God at night when the man dealing with
you is with you ‘a man’s enemy is a member is a member of his own house hold’
whenever there is a bank robbery, there is always an insider. The devil cannot
attack you, outside you; he must use somebody around you to attack you.
Rebellion is one of the instruments. So when you see rebellion, kill it.
Immediately
God saw rebellion in Lucifer, Rev12vs 19He
cast him away immediately. When Abnor in 2Sam18vs 19, Abnor’s rebellion came to the
open, he was taken aside and stoned and. same thing with Ahitophel, who was
hanged and he died. That hanging was done by himself. Rebellion will frustrate
you, to the point that if you are not killed, it will make you commit suicide.
That’s
rebellion.
Adonijah, fell down and died, 1Kgs 2vs 25.
Judas Iscariot, he rebelled against the king of glory, the maker of the universe, the author and
finisher of our faith, the beginning and he end, the one who has no beginning
and has no ending, the one who is and who was and who is to come, the ancient
of days, the maker of life, the one who understands your intention before you
execute the action, he went to
rebel against him. Jesus did not say
‘I forgive you’ Jesus knew the only
treatment for rebellion is what? - Kill it! He allowed him.
Peter
denied Christ, Judas deceived Christ. Peter realized his ways came
back and asked for forgiveness, he was forgiven, but deception that resulted
from rebellion, Jesus did not
tolerate, immediately Judas went to the tree and hung himself; same tree Jesus was gloriously hanged, Judas was
shamefully hanged and died.
Let me
tell you this , before the entrance of Judas into the apostolic order, it has
been written from the foundation of the world that there will be twelve pillars
in heaven, which the names of the twelve disciples will be written on it. Judas
deprived himself that privilege and went to die by hanging and he is in hell as
we speak now.
Every
man who has an opportunity to be a servant today, there is a plan God has for you. God has something in store for you. Serve and serve well, there is
a pillar your name is written on, if you’ll be patient enough despite the
weakness of the pulpit you will get there, but
if you decide to criticize the pulpit, that is when your name will be
wiped, but may it not be so with you, may it not be so with us . In the mighty
name of Jesus.
Amen!
