For re-cap the word loyalty is
the same as faithfulness, devotion, allegiance, trustworthy, consistence,
reliability fidelity or dependability. These are the definition or meaning of
loyalty, what it could be or the words that it could be replaced for. Loyalty
is a strong feeling of support or allegiance.
Hallelujah!
So it is very important and
imperative that we come to the point where we know what loyalty is all about
and be loyal to the authority.
Loyalty is so important that when
Jesus Christ was painting a picture
about submission, He brought in a master and a slave. How the church and the
wife should be submissive to authority,
God brought in servant and boss. Let me say this to you, if women
understand what it means to be loyal to their husbands, there won’t be problems
in families; but most women are not loyal. The loyalty of most women are
conditional, they can only be loyal when the man is still ‘boxed up’ (rich),
when the man loses the money, their loyalty goes down.
A man went out of the marriage and started dating the cousin
to the wife and they were doing all manner, by the time the wife found out what
the husband was into, she sat down and cried because the guy was boxed up, the
guy is a billionaire. The guy makes forty million weekly, immediately he
realized that the wife has found him out, he went into a car shop and came out
with a brand new range rover vogue, and gave it to her. The wife called all
siblings and parents that were making noise and told them to shout up that she
has made peace with her husband’
So the loyalty we see is the loyalty that is tied to money,
which is what we see in family. You pull out money from your pocket, you
normally give your wife N2, 000.00 every week but you decided to give her N5,
000.00 or N10, 000.00 that week, she will be extremely elated, but when you
give her the normal N2, 000.00, she grumbles and complains, that is the kind of
loyalty we see in families and the young girls are learning, so the impunity in
disloyalty has a chain. The same thing in our work places, you see people
saluting you, but they are your greatest enemy, the same thing in church. Let
me tell you God cannot be mocked
whatsoever a man sow, whether you like it or not you will reap it; let me tell
you the truth, I am not moved by what you say about me because I know that life
is like a seed, so keep sowing bit biting, keep sowing antagonism, I pray you
will climb, for when you climb your subordinate will do it to you more than you
have done to your authorities.
We keep messing up, that is why the civil service in this
country is dead, and the government doesn’t know what they can do with the
civil service for it is a plague in the body of government. It is a burden to
any government that comes into power. Disloyalty, wickedness in the name of
making money very fast, whatever you will be, the end is heaven or hell.
There is a young
boy who learnt and discovered by revelation and technology how to use water to run
as diesel to run generator. He got the technology, he went to a particular
hospital that spends N84 million monthly on diesel, and told them how he can
help to reduce their expenditure to one third. This is a hospital that spends
N84million on diesel, N5million on drugs monthly. That is our government hospital.
Immediately the boy
said that and wrote the proposal, armed-robbers, assassins came to his house,
they pointed a gun to his head and said ‘I won’t kill you today because your
mother appeared in my dream yesterday night, your mother is average height, she
is dark in complexion, she has a tribal mark and (they showed him the pattern)’,
they described the mother, and got her description. God used the mother to dissuade
the assassins from killing the boy. Despite the warning from the dream the
assassins still came to force him to by-pass revelation to come to pass, the
guy relocated from Lagos State that week with his wife to Abeokuta in Ogun
State. They even went as far as to threatening him that even if his wife gave
birth in that hospital, he shouldn’t come, until she comes home, that they
don’t want to see him within the hospital premises.
Disloyalty!
Somebody
is profiting off from the government. Wife is eating off from the husband.
‘A young man was learning trade in Nnewi, in Anambra State, within the five
years of learning trade; he built a house in the village’.
It
may seem funny and strange to us but many of us are engaged in this wicked
acts. It is only disloyalty that will prompt you into dupe.
Another young man
was also learning trade in Lagos State, his
master is into importation, and there containers landed and they were off-loading
it and they were very busy with the boss; and then the boy dropped his phone,
and he was off loading stuffs while he was doing that he received an alert o
his phone, like a test message, the boss picked it and looked at it, at first
he didn’t put an interest to seeing what it was, but called out to the boy to
come pick his phone after the off loading; but on a second thought he decided
to see what the message was about, he opened to see that the message was an
account balance , totaling N12million in Diamond bank. Trust an Ibo man, the
man kept quiet, and told the boy that he will take him to Diamond bank the week
after.
When the week came,
the boy took his boss to Diamond bank, when they got there, they sat down, and
of course the bank manager knows the boss. By the time sat down, he ordered for
transfer paper, and the boss turned to the boy and said ‘ that money I saw in
your account transfer all of them back’ the boy did not object, he immediately
transferred all the cash back to his boss’s account. The boss told him ‘when
you finish learning the trade, I will settle you. But this money is mine.’
Twelve
million! Wickedness!
The parents in the village would
applaud him, they will term it that ‘our boy that is learning work is excelling’
it has gone pass the time that parents call their children to explain the
wealth they have suddenly acquired, but instead, parents will even pride
themselves over the questionable, unexplained wealth that their sons/daughters
have acquired; some of you will go to hell on the bases of what your son/daughter
are doing. If you must be clean, be clean.
Praise God!
Be clean. That is what we are
teaching and that is why we are teaching loyalty, so that you will be loyal.
Loyalty will lift you, but it might take time. That is what lifted a man, by
the name Jonathan Goodluck, it is loyalty that lifted him, from being an
ordinary primary school teacher to a secondary school teacher, from secondary
school to university lecturer, from university lecturer to appointment, from
appointment to deputy governor, from deputy governor to vice,… for every time
he was asked to assume a position, he was sluggish about it. He was not in a haste
to grab anything.
What is yours belongs to you, no
ma can take, but all this one that you rush, you want to take it by force, it
is a sign that it is not yours yet. When it is yours’ people will wait until
you arrive.
The blessing that is yours, will
locate you! No man will take it.

A
loyal assistant
is anybody who is assisting you, or you’re assisting in any form. I am
referring to the assistant pastors, I am referring to the heads of departments,
I am referring to the ushers, etc, and they are all assisting to make the work
of God go well. So that is who is an
assistant. If there is any way that you’re helping somebody to achieve a thing,
I am praying that you become loyal to the call to that person.
In every organization that you
come into, to every set, to every church that you come into and you notice that
you can’t be loyal to the head, leave the place.
Disloyalty is a crime against God, not just humanity; so if you want
to marry a man that you know you can’t be loyal to, don’t marry him.
A young girl was
approached by a man that indicated interest to marry her, she looked at the
man, and afterwards informed the man that she cannot marry him, not because of
she doesn’t love him, but because he is not the kind of person she can obey.
That
is sincerity!
She told him
‘the way you are I can’t obey you, because I know the kind of man I want’
That’s
sincerity!
And the man walked
away. He married another person ,and the lady married another person.
That
is sincerity!
So
when you get into a church and you notice that you can’t really be loyal to the
pastor or the pastorate, or you get into a department and you can’t be loyal to
the head of the department, leave there, and don’t constitute nuisance and
confusion, because we can never have two captains in one boat. It is not
possible, so if you are not ready to be a passenger, leave. That is what we are
preaching.
The assistant minister or the
assistant is anyone operating in the following position, just narrowing down to
church: associate pastor, deputy pastor, worship leader, departmental pastor,
youth pastor, branch pastor, minister of music etc. the duties of an assistant
may look obvious, it may even seem foolish to write about what is expected of
the assistant minister but, I have found the assistant minister to be one of
the most important persons or people in the ministry team. He can make or break
the ministry / organization; by his actions and words or even attitude, from
experience I have learnt that it is better to have no assistant than to have a
bad assistant. It is better to have no branch church than to have a branch
church with a bad branch pastor. That’s what brings about break away.
A good assistant can be compared
to a good Ambassador; he does not reflect his own idea or vision but only those
of his home country. We are talking about an Ambassadorial position here, can
you imagine an American ambassador to Nigeria, speaking in a national
television and criticizing Obama? Do you know that when American has something
to do with Nigeria, it is the Ambassador that goes to negotiate with the
president?
The American ambassador to
Nigeria is equivalent to Obama to Nigeria, so if an Ambassador of America to
Nigeria says “Nigeria
we are withdrawing our aides”, America has said they are
withdrawing their aides. In other words an Ambassador must mind what he says,
an Ambassador must be sure what the home country stands for, an Ambassador is a
representative of the home country, an Ambassador has no name except of the
home country, Ambassador is not of his own, he is owned by a country; so you
don’t come out and speak anyhow, before you speak, you must be sure that what
you’re about to say is what the country will say, what the president will say,
what the senior pastor will say if he were to be there. That is an assistant.
Assistant will never over shadow
the head, ‘sun doesn’t rise from under’
an Ambassador is whom we are talking about, one who is selfless, one who
doesn’t look at the country where he lives but looks at the country where he is
coming from, one who considers the benefit of his home country, than the
country where he lives; so whenever an ambassador appears, America has
appeared, anything he is saying he is representing America. It is only I church
that an assistant will go out and not represent the church. In behavior you are
not representing the church, in words you are not representing the church, when
you appear, and you appear alone, that’s why you don’t have a covering over
you; because when you deny your covering, it’s like un-roofing your house.
Praise
God!
So all this trouble you go
through from time to time may be an indication that you no longer have a
covering. How do we remove covering?
Removing covering means being
disloyal to the authority you’re submitting to. No devil has the permission to
come into your house, without coming through the gate.

Continuity is dependent on
assistants if an organization must continue; it must have a consistent
efficient, viable loyal assistant. Every organization they have a system or
modus operand( system of operation) for instance your father worked for Zenith
bank and retired, and that Zenith bank has the same policy guiding it when your
father was there, is still being executed and carried out up on till now but
the set of people that worked with your father, they have all gone, but the
bank remains, but policy remains, and people coming in are still working the
policy, the reason is because for every set that comes in they do a transfer to
the next set, so it keeps moving from one generation to the other. So when you
see a break in continuity, there is disloyalty somewhere.

2Timothy 2v2-
The
emphasis is ‘pass it on to reliable leaders’ men who are loyal, men who are faithful.
We have a crazy world, we have a crazy organization, we have a crazy church,
and we have a crazy government. For pictorial example – in a relay race, and
you have your baton and you’re running, by the time you finish you hand over
and the person you want to hand over to is not even interested in taking the
baton, he is busy standing there chewing gum, by the time you arrived you gives
him the baton, he just looks at it and looks at you, and hisses, and then
others are running. He has succeeded in wasting the effort of all the people
that ran to hand over the baton to him. That is what we are experiencing in
families, churches, that you will be busy putting effort on how to make the
work better and God gives you
revelation and an idea of a thing to be
done and then you don’t see anybody to teach what God says you should teach. That is disloyalty. The church of a
thousand sits six hundred every mid-week service, it’s not that the rest of the
seven hundred is busy, for in their minds they see no need for it. That is why
a pastor will release a word from the pulpit and someone will take it likely.
Some people go into all manners, not everyone
is being controlled by Holy Ghost,
we might be in the same church but not Holy
Ghost controlled, some are controlled by one prophet somewhere. Why do we
like fake and reject original? why do we hate freedom and embrace bondage? You
leave the place they tell you the word of God
as it is, and then you go to a place where they manipulate you and give you
laws and you work by them.
May
God help you!
I
don’t advise any man to have anybody like that over his life. They are demonic!.
We
have 29 ways to becoming a good Assistance, but I will just mention a few of
them:-
1. A good assistant must always make mention of the senior pastor often and
in a favourable light. You must make mention of the senior pastor, your
manager, your parents, your senior colleagues in the office every time and in a
favourable light. Some of you when you talk about your pastor, it looks like
you are talking about your slave.
How do you talk about your
leaders? How do you talk about your husband? Do people observe who you are in
the relationship you have with your pastor, your husband by your tone? You know
there is a way a woman will talk about the husband and you are sure that the
relationship is not smooth. You may hear something like this – ‘pastor you
don’t understand my husband’ that language alone has said it
all. I must apologize to the Christian women; I know most of you are going
through hell in the hands of strange men; but let me tell you be a Christian
that you are meant to be, you can’t say because he is bad and you become bad.
Let me tell you a story of a chronic unbeliever related to me….
She observed that the husband was dating a young girl and
she’s being observing it for a long time, at the end of the day, when the
husband was at the verge of going intimate with the girl, the woman intervened
and called the young girl, and asked her “what exactly are you looking for in
my husband? Because I know he will never marry you and leave me, he will only
sleep with you and leave you and then if you get pregnant, you will suffer because
you are not ready to take care a baby now. Anything he is promising to do for
you, I can as well do for you, so tell me what is your problem? Do you have
passport?” the young girl said ‘yes’ the woman said ‘give it to me’ she went to
apply for the young girl, they gave the young girl Uk visa, for six months. The
woman took the young girl to London, they stayed there for three weeks fasting
and praying.
The irony of the
matter is that, the young lady the man is after is a Christian, who happens to
be leaving in their house, and every night she is always praying non-stop,
and while the older woman was desiring
to be like her, the younger one was desiring to go back to the world .
They stayed in U.k for three good weeks, fasting and praying
and at the end of the whole thing, the woman took her for shopping, of which
her bags were full. When they came back, she told her ‘this is exactly what my
husband would have done for you and still sleep with you, but am doing it for
you free of charge.’
Un-believing
wife!
The girl swore never to near the woman’s
husband.
But I see Christian wives,
policing their husband even in church, once they get home she attacks him and
eventually it becomes a problem in the home and marriage, why? - She is not
loyal to the husband.
Loyalty
is lost in families; children are no longer loyal to the parents.
A pastor ,his church has being wiped off twice, by falling
into fornication with a mother and a daughter , the church heard about it,
everybody stopped coming, he started building back the church, after building
it , he fell into another one , the church collapsed again. He started building
it. He has this weakness with females. The wife knew the husband’s weakness.
At a point the man invited a member of the church to their
house, took her upstairs and slept with her while the wife was in the kitchen
preparing meals, the girl was crying and coming downstairs, the wife was going
up and met the girl on her way down, and said ‘my dear did it happen?’ the girl
nodded, the woman said ‘my dear sorry, I apologize on his behalf, you know that
daddy has weakness with women, please forgive him. Be praying for him’
Loyalty
may look stupid but that’s loyalty! It looks crazy!
If
it were to be other women, they would have gone on rampage, at a point
justifying the fact that it happened in their ‘matrimonial bed’
Sin
is sin no matter where it happened!
Hallelujah!
Pastor makes a mistake, don’t carry him
out, manager in the office makes a mistake don’t take him out, let it be
discussed within, kill it within. Have you heard that an imam committed
fornication in the papers, but there is hardly any week you won’t hear it about
a pastor.
Every son or daughter that
criticizes one of his parents is likely to end in the same mistake; know that
your father doesn’t need a fight, he needs your prayer, in doing so, you’re
making way for a smooth marriage.
Pray
for everyone in authority. Every authority over you needs prayer not argument,
not disloyalty, not fight, because when you’re giving the person a fight,
you’re building up a fight yourself.
2.
Try as much as you can to quote
your head as often as possible.
Any man you’re loyal to quote him. ‘like manager will always say, like my father will
always say, like my mother will always say’
Independent spirit is a rebellious spirit. You have to get
to a level and you will say your own, say what your leader says; so when you
have a privilege to come to the pulpit quote me(your pastor) for you don’t hear
from down you hear from up. For every time you have the privilege of coming to
the pulpit appreciate the pastor. ‘ I see this as an honour’. If you are
privilege to be the one to speak in your office once you come up to speak
appreciate the manager, especially when they are sitting there looking at you.
There was a case in a bank, they were about to sack people,
they have compiled their list and they now came to the board to review the list
compiled, by the time they sat as a board to review the list compiled one name
was there that all of them felt was not supposed to be there, why? The guy was
a young man that gives gifts to everybody. In that board, the tie, the
pocket-square, the few gadgets in the bodies of the board members, the guy gave
them. So when his name appeared they objected and finally they removed his
name, and put another name.
You
work in an office at the end of the month; you carry your salary and walk home,
and you say to yourself ‘after all, my boss also receive bigger salary
than I’ sometimes get little gifts and drop it on their tables ‘thank you
very much I just want to appreciate you for being my manager’
The
guys name was removed and another was imported-
Loyalty!
3.
Genuinely adore your leaders,
pastors and praise them often as possible.
4.
Introduce your pastor/your leader
in an exciting way and make positive compliments or remarks about everything
that he has preached or done.
What
this means is that when you see your pastor/leader or manager come to an
occasion, introduce him well. Show honour to whom honour is due, no matter how
busy you are, show honour.
5. Announce the visit or arrival of your
boss/pastor with excitement.
When you see your boss in an occasion let him know that you are happy that he
is here –‘I am excited that you are here, you’ve made my day, and it’s good to see
you’ but unfortunately in Nigeria we don’t greet like that. The
greeting in Africa ends in ‘good morning, good afternoon and good night’
but the western greetings is not complete until you hear ‘it’s good to see you, it’s good
to meet you, nice to have you here’
Praise

6. Do
not be a receiver of complaint.
Some of us are complain receivers, let people know that if they want to grumble
or criticize, they have come to the wrong person. If your office or your house
is center of discussion of the short comings of the pastor then surely another
‘Absalom’ is in the making. It takes a certain evil spirit for people to have
enough confidence to bring up all there accusations. Unity begins with the most
senior associates; if he is loyal, the others will follow. If your house is the
rallying point, if your office is the rallying point where they discuss the
mistakes of pastor, you are a rebel. If you are the only one that people will
come and tell what is not done well, you are a rebel. So be careful about those
people that will always come and tell you what people say. Every time they are
the one that hear what people say, be careful, they are disloyal members, they
are disloyal subordinates, and they are disloyal servants and should be removed
if possible from amongst you.

You
must find genuine excuses for any lapses of the head. For every time your
leader, your pastor makes a mistake, construct excuse why he made a mistake,
don’t discover why he shouldn’t make it, look for excuse and make for him.
Anybody
you can’t submit to is, not worthy to be your leader and you are not worthy to
be under the person, so exit and leave. When a leader makes mistake give a
reason why.
Some days ago I was engulfed with depression, the worst
thing about pastors being depressed is that you don’t have someone to talk to,
because everybody wants to talk to you; that day was the day I discovered one
thing, ‘depression is one of the causes of every manner of evil’. Every manner of evil is depression triggered. A man will be
depressed, the next thing he goes straight to beer parlor, though he is not
used to alcohol before, yet he goes straight to order for alcoholic drinks in
large quantity; all in the attempt to cure or get rid of his depression. The
truth of the matter is that you cannot use ‘depressants to handle depression’.
Other men will indulge in sex with different women to try to get over there
depression.
When I was depressed, my head went wild, but thank God for Jehovah God, I went
home and lay on my bed and slept off, when I woke up, it was half solved and I
started using scripture as a Dozier to subdue until I came out. If I had
slapped somebody that day, news would have carried it, and you don’t know what
I was going through that led me into what I did.
Look
for a reason why your manager became tough in the morning, when he had not
always being like that.
It
is crazy that immediately a man enters a church as a pastor, he is already
planning how to open his own, so from day one, he is already disloyal. Are we
in competition? Is it not the same kingdom? Please let us be very careful.
7. Whenever
you have an opportunity to represent your manager or your pastor always let the
people know that you are not him.
You have an opportunity to represent your boss in an occasion let them know
that you are there in the capacity of your senior pastor. As a pastor under a
higher authority any where you go that has to do with your church you are
representing him. If you go to see ‘a baby in the hospital, “say my pastor sent
me”, if you go to see a child who had an accident, say ‘‘my pastor sent me”.
That
is loyalty!
Somebody
gave birth in your office and you go to see the person, and you give out money,
express that it is coming from the manager. If the manager hears the good
gesture extended to him through your loyal attitude he will put it to heart.
The bible said that “Mary heard them and kept it in her heart and was observing
the baby. Everything they said concerning Christ she kept it in her heart”.
People
keep things in their hearts, for remembrance, so managers, pastors are watching
out for are truly representatives of them; so when an opportunity comes the
first thing that comes or the first person that comes to mind of the boss, will
be the that person that will always represent you.
As
I speak for the pastorate, I am speaking for you under a head of department.
Character is leaving the church,
character is the foundation of Christianity but unfortunately it is leaving the
church.
So many times I have witness people immediately service ends
quarreling outside the church they just came out from exchanging words like “do you know me, is it
because you see me in church? “I will slap you”
Not
quite long you left the church, the presence of the Lord, may God open our
eyes to know how we really are, if you are so inquisitive, ask the doctors they
will tell you when a woman or man is down in the sick bed, everything looses
taste, they become very good, because they are close to death, they become
suddenly kind, they make peace, they exhibit all these simply because his death
is close.
We should understand that we cannot
manipulate God. Repent and believe
the gospel
When
Christ appeared to John the Baptist,
John the Baptist declared “this is the Lamb of God that taketh the sins of the
world, I am not worthy to unbuckle His sandals” when Jesus left there and started doing exploit, they brought news to
him in prison, about what Jesus was doing, John the Baptist said “it is good,
that I decreased that He might increased”
Loyalty!
Jesus
said the same thing, “whatever I hear my father say, that will I say, and I’ll do”
Loyalty!
We don’t say what you hear our
bosses say, we have our ‘own thing’ and that is why nobody is bothering to
listen.
Jesus did not preach a strange
message, the message that John the Baptist preached, is the same message that Jesus preached, the same message the
apostles also preached “repent for the kingdom of God is at hand”
the same message. The core message of the gospel.
I
have shared some point, but its 29 points in all, there are still more on these.
Pray and start living the
principles on these teaching, if you must remain in that organization, you must
be loyal. If you must last in the church you must be loyal.
